Being a commerce student, I have come across so many business definitions by different authors. But most of the definitions are very hard and complex. During my exam days, I tried to memorise as many definitions of business as I could to get good marks.

I get bored and frustrated by memorising business definitions every single time for the exam. For that reason, I have challenged myself as a management student: Can I explain business in a plain, simple, and crystal clear format under 5 minutes?

That question sparks the idea of creating the video on “How Business Works”. I have tried to use the collage-style animation with a retro vintage Indian vibe to make it more attractive and relatable for the Indian audience. The biggest challenge was to find a reference for this piece because no one in India has used collage-style animation to explain business.

So I have taken reference from Johnny Harris’ video on “Income level comparison of Americans between different decades.” This masterpiece Johnny video is animated by a very talented collage animator named Karla Núñez de Madariaga from Spain.
